Hi chris,
In answer to your question, yes FM is recognised here and in AU, however not on the scale of the UK. FMANZ is the NZ Facilities Managers association which is starting to make inroads into putting some direction around FM activity and issues here. There's a long way to go but the issues of sustainability, best practice compliance etc etc are still hot topics and at the forefront of business thinking here.
